DTPC has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate the firm’s commitment to privacy. The following discloses DTPC’s information-gathering and dissemination practices. This policy is effective as of 2009. 

DTPC reserves the right to change this statement at any time. Therefore, to view DTPC’s latest privacy practices, please review this statement regularly. By using this site, you are deemed to have accepted the terms of this statement.  In the event DTPC makes a material change to its privacy policy it may so indicate on the main page of the site for a period of 15 days after the change is effective.

To Individual Clients

In accordance with rules promulgated by the Federal Trade Commission, at 16 C.F.R. § 313, et seq, a law firm which represents persons in certain types of financial transactions is required to inform such person of its policies regarding privacy of client information. As you are or may be one of the clients to whom DTPC is providing such services, or has provided such services in the past, you are being provided with this notice. No action on your part is required.
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted or required by law.

We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of third parties:

• Financial service providers, such as mortgage bankers, securities broker-dealers, and insurance agents;

Types of Nonpublic Personal Information DTPC Collects

DTPC collects nonpublic personal information about you that either (1) you provide to DTPC, or (2) DTPC obtains with your authorization. Examples of such information include data relating to your immigration status or intention to expand your business abroad.


Policy as to Disclosure of Information

For both current and former clients, DTPC does not disclose to anyone other than its owner and employees any nonpublic personal information obtained in the course of its representation of you, except with your consent or as required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of DTPC. It is possible, for example, that DTPC could be compelled to disclose such information in response to the service upon us of a subpoena issued by a court or agency. In any such case, DTPC would timely advise you of its receipt of such legal process and also act in any lawful manner to protect your interests, such as by asserting (if appropriate) claims of attorney-client privilege.


Protecting the Confidentiality and Security of Current and Former Clients’ Information

In compliance with applicable professional standards, DTPC retains records relating to professional services that it provides so that it is better able to attend to your needs.
In order to assure the confidentiality of your nonpublic personal information, DTPC maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with its professional standards.
